Sarah J. Wachter is a Paris-based consultant in communications planning, messaging, storytelling, media relations, persuasion and influence, and in creative approaches to promote policies for social change. Her clients have included large corporations and multilateral organizations, including Shell Sakhalin, Air Liquide, Alstom, and EDF, the World Energy Council (WEC), the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), the Climate Group, the African Development Bank (AFDB), White & Case LLP, UNEP, UNESCO, UNWomen, and UNSSC.
She is a regular coach and trainer with the ThomsonReuters Foundation in London, and has trained executives from Moscow to Manila, MPs in Kurdistan, environmentalists in Dhaka, and policymakers in the Middle East. She is a regular consultant for the emerging leaders program of the UN, training dozens of officials every year in French and in English. She has ghost-written for CEOs and Secretaries General, including the WEC, International Chamber of Commerce, WBCSD, and the African Development Bank. Her editorials have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Financial Times.
Formerly, she was a staff journalist for Dow Jones, filing to the Newswire, the Wall Street Journal, and CNBC Europe. Her work has also appeared on the BBC, and in The Economist and The Economist Intelligence Unit. She has datelined in more than 50 countries. She holds a Masters in Science from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
