Raymond Saner is Professor Emeritus of the University of Basel and teaches in the Sustainability Masters program at Lüneburg University in Germany and previously taught in the former Masters of Public Affairs Program of Sciences Po in Paris. He is co-founder of the Centre for Socio-Economic Development (CSEND) based in Geneva since 1993.
CSEND is a research and development organization accredited by ECOSOC with consultative status. He heads CSEND’s diplomacy dialogue branch focused on state (governments) versus non-state (MNEs, NGOs, IOs) actor negotiations. He is co-chair of the academic friends of the OECD guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct and member of the UNECE steering group drafting standards for PPPs in the context of the SDGs.
Professor Saner is a Swiss citizen and is fluent in German, English and French. He holds a Doctorate in Social Psychology from the Union Graduate School (USA), a Master’s in Education from Lesley University (USA) and a BA in Economics from University of Basel (Switzerland).
