Finance for Impact

Mahaut is a fellow with Finance for Impact. She specializes in the private sector development and the green economy transition. She conducts economic and social research, designs private sector development strategies, undertakes environmental advocacy, and participates in program evaluations. With Finance for Impact, she also participates in research projects on financial inclusion, access to finance in Africa, and financial governance in conflict-affected countries.

She also gained experience with NGOs in the field of aid organization and coordination. Focusing on social impacts, she led and achieved a project in Vietnam in 2017 to provide assistance to two children’s centers in the south of the country.

She studied Environmental Economics, Development and Ecosystem Science and Policy at the University of Miami in 2018-2019. She had the opportunity to work with a local NGOs for environmental advocacy. There, she designed and implemented sustainable programs for the conservation of local wildlife and ecosystems. She got involved in researching strategies for promoting green investment in national parks.

Mahaut pursued a dual master’s degree in Economic Analysis at Sciences Po Saint-Germain and CY Cergy Paris / ESSEC, with a minor in International Relations. She aims for the completion of a PhD in Economics in coming years. She speaks fluent French, English and Italian, and is actively learning Arabic.
