Khalil El Gazri is an expert statistician with longstanding international experience in the production, quality and dissemination of official statistics whether from census, survey or administrative data.

He has been supporting and excelling in international cooperation and partnership for the development of official statistics cumulating more than 15 years of experience in Africa, Europe and Pacific as advisor to National Statistics Offices and National Statistical Systems, consultant and project manager in large scale surveys measuring indicators on different subjects with households and businesses.

Khalil occupied consultancy positions under The World Bank, The African Development Bank, UNESCO Institute for Statistics, USAID and the EU funded projects, organizing and supervising on field national surveys. Prior to this he held teaching and research positions at Ouagadougou 2ie engineering institute, Bordeaux university, Dakar engineer school of economics and statistics, and INSEAD business school.

Khalil holds a MSc in Applied Mathematics to Social Sciences from Bordeaux university and a MSc in GeoStatistics from ParisTech School of Mines.
